Mardu Tokens

A reasonably new archetype has arisen with the recent block. Tokens has become really quite potent and versatile, you can build it agro or midrange. You can go full Mardu, Orzhov, Boros or just straight white. Straight red may even be an option although I have not yet tried it. This version below is a midrange version with all the colours. It contains only one card not in my A cube and has many suitable cards I didn't manage to squeeze in.

Lingering Souls
This list has a bunch of solid cheap spells so as to keep things calm and safe while you assemble some tokens and mana. Being midrange I was trying to keep the average power level as high as possible and so there is a little less in the way of synergy for the tokens than you can include. Cards like Hellrider, lots of the white planeswalker, battlecry creatures, Outpost Seige and so forth are all good but generally make your early game a bit weaker as you cut your non-synergy cover all spells. This list should have had a Vampiric Tutor in it to make up for my lighter synergy card count. Purphoros is the big name in the deck and spells victory quickly and inevitably should you resolve him.

A big part of the success of this deck is how many top quality cards already work well with tokens to some extent or that generate tokens themselves. When you combine high individual power level with strong synergy you struggle to have anything other than a top quality deck!
